Saturday 2:02

This claustrophobic girl

Dropped black olives into clear jars

On the windowsill, one after another.

This reckless man climbed poles outside

Attached wires with inner mind

That girl saw the wires before her eyes sought skies

Inside I walk into her room

She drops an olive on the ground

My socks are mismatched.

With a heart that battles itself enough,

I know they could make the full pair,

Long as there’s two feet.

She disappears, I'd rather remember her

Than be with her.

I saw a woman on the mountains,

She showed me the night's meteor shower.

Since then, I've been more prone to being shot

By shooting stars. Since then her heart has grown

To touch my own, I'm not alone.

I climb the wires he's fused and refuse to leave

Without another companion.

If he's safe, I'm ready to take a long drive.

'Til I run out of road past the last gas station.

I'm off alone. Writing with her.

Empowering pen strokes to eliminate the reader;

The reader’s senses.

On the ground I find the word in a note.

"Trade" it tells me.

I have a boomerang and that's all.

So into the wind it tossed,

And it entangles in the height of a kite.

I took what's not mine with strings attached-

From another lover's lifetime.

We've been adapting with our other lover's lost love.
